Not to knock Joest, but this is the closest we have to a something like F-1. I'll take it. I just wish they would move to 90% road courses. That is what these cars are made to run on.

The series isn't popular enough to get people to drag their ass out to some race track that's an hour away. As much as I can't stand the amount horrid street courses, they are what's keeping Indycar alive (and the big oval races, but I like those).

Why is half the body ahead of the front wheels?

I know it's for safety, but I just can't stand the nearly closed rear wheels. They just make the car unbelievably ugly.

Needs DCT!!!

The V8 gen F1 cars were running Single clutch trannies. Almost all race cars are either sequential (which I'm pretty sure the Dallara is) or SCT.

Agree. They just run too many of the ovals. One or two would be fine.

Perhaps you don't understand yet so I feel the need to explain it to you.

No high performance vehicle now or ever again, is complete without a DCT. DCT is like the force of God that draws plant matter out of the ground, without DCT, no sentient being can exist at all! Have you yet to understand that DCT makes every car better no-matter it's use, application or purpose?

I'm sorry to use your post rhetorically, good on you to have the knowledge required to respond immediately

Really? I like the ovals. It's part of the series identity.

I cannot totally disagree. I do think these cars are more suited to road courses, though.

No single seater should be racing on roads as poorly paved as Baltimore.

Having watched Indycar at Fontana, the more ovals the better!

I have watched Cart/Indy Car at Michigan, in attendance, many times. Many of the ovals are great racing. But I still love a race that puts them in the habitat that they belong in. Road courses. By that I do not mean Cleveland or some of the street courses. Courses Like Elkhart Lake, Road Atlanta, Laguna Seca to name a few.

Any of those three would be ideal.
